This trilogy fulfilled the 80s movie lover’s dream of bringing together the biggest action movie stars on screen. Initiated by Sylvester Stallone, then brought back to the fore by the success of Rocky Balboa and John Rambo, the Expendables saga brought together the most engaging skewering of big guns ever seen in one film!
Alongside Stallone, names like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren and even Chuck Norris to camp as members of this tough team specializing in high-risk missions!
Returning to the roots of unbridled 80s cinema, The Expendables is a trilogy of action and humor where the punchlines blend together at a meandering pace. Due to the poor score of the long-awaited third opus at the box office, the fourth installment of The Expendables will be released in France on October 11. In the cast of this new adventure, new newcomers like Tony Jaa and Andy Garcia or even Iko Uwais, star of The Raid as the film’s big bad.
The Expendables trilogy, currently available on Amazon Prime Video, will leave the platform’s catalog on March 31.
