The Daniels, recent Best Director Oscar winners, will lead one episode (at least) of the upcoming Star Wars series ‘Skeleton Crew’

The Daniels are in fashion. After sweeping the 2023 Oscars (and pretty much every award show of the season), Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert they have become the most coveted filmmakers in Hollywood. But, even before the recognition of the Academy, Lucasfilm and Disney have already set their sights on them to incorporate them into the Star Wars franchise.

OneTakeNews has exclusively reported that the directors of ‘Everything at Once Everywhere’ have sat in the directing chair of the new series of the Star Wars universe for Disney +, ‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’, the program created by Jon Watts (director of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy) and starring Jude Law.

The production of ‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’ has already finished, and until now the news of who has directed its episodes had not come out. Lucasfilm has not commented on the news, so It is unknown if Los Daniels have been in charge of one or several chapters of the seriesone of the upcoming Star Wars releases.

According to the official synopsis, ‘Skeleton Crew’ will follow “four children who are lost in the vastness of the galaxy trying to find their way home.” The series will be set in the New Republic era, so it is possible that it will intersect with the events and characters of ‘The Mandalorian’, ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ and the upcoming series starring Rosario Dawson ‘Ahsoka’.
