“I think the series has reached its natural close.”
Brian Cox has shared his opinion about the end of the successful HBO Max series, ‘Succession’, which will arrive after the premiere of its fourth season, in just a few days.
The Scottish actor plays patriarch and media mogul Logan Roy in the “dramedy” black created by Jesse Armstrong.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the interpreter revealed that he is “happy” that the series gives fans a satisfying ending without lengthening the plot.
“I think we’ve reached the point where the series has reached its natural close.“, he said, adding that he trusts the criteria of the showrunner, Armstrong.
“Jesse won’t let it go any further than necessary.“, continued the actor. “Many series are too long. I think our series is perfect and neat, just the way it is.“
Cox, who recently made headlines for her comments on Jeremy Strong’s method acting in ‘Succession,’ claimed that is “happy” that the series will stop airing soon.
“In a good way, I’m glad it’s overCox said, explaining that he will miss the cast and crew he has been able to work with for the past five years.I will miss the people I work with. They are the key.“
One of Cox’s co-stars he seems to agree with his father on screen. The ‘All in a Day’ actor, who plays Connor, Roy’s eldest son and aspiring politician, Alan Ruck, agrees that the series should have a grand finale.
“I think it is the right time to finish and find out who is going to take command of this empire. A fifth season would have dragged on and been a disgrace,” Ruck shared with Empire earlier this month.
The first three seasons of ‘Succession’ are available on streaming on HBO Max. The fourth season will premiere on the platform on March 27, 2023.
