South American Under-20 champion, Andrey meets coach Ramon Menezes in the main Brazilian squad, who face Morocco on Saturday. The young midfielder praised the coach, also commenting on his experience with his idol Casemiro.
“I’m even suspicious when I talk about Ramon. He’s a phenomenal guy, he always put me very at ease on the pitch, he always valued the group. Our group in the Sub-20 was very united and committed, and this facilitated our performance during the South American,” said Andrey.
Starting at 19:00 (Brasilia time) this Saturday, Brazil will face the Moroccan national team at the Ibn Batouta stadium, in Tangier. In anticipation of the debut, Andrey expects a played match.
“It’s an excellent selection, very competitive, with many high-level players. I hope we can enter focused, do a great job and, consequently, emerge victorious,” he added.
