As he confided to our colleagues Vanity FairThe 21-year-old actress appeared in Iron Man 3 as the daughter of Vice President Rodriguez, played by Miguel Ferrer. In his only scene from the film, we see him for literally 10 seconds.
Ortega is 10 years old at the time and on stage plays a little girl who is missing a leg and uses a wheelchair. His father is the Vice President of the United States, who is about to seize power if Killian (the film’s big villain, played by Guy Pearce) goes ahead with his plan to assassinate the President.

After Iron Man 3, Ortega appeared in many series including Know It All Nina, Richie Rich, Harley: The Least of My Worries and of course Jane The Virgin where she plays the heroine in flashbacks. In cinema, we could recently see her in Babysitters: Murder Queen, Scream 5 and 6 and X.
She became a real star thanks to her role in the TV series Wednesday, in which she plays Wednesday Addams. The show has already been renewed by Netflix for a second season.
