This March 26, 2023, the cult TV series The Young and the Restless will celebrate its fiftieth season airing in the US! To thank the fans for their loyalty, the teams of the series prepared a surprise… So, to celebrate this special occasion, the series released new credits on social networks!
New credits for “The Young and the Restless”
Don’t panic, the music playing on the piano remains the same. On the other hand, the image of the actors has evolved! Each actor first appears in black and white, then switches to color a few seconds later. Well used to slow motion poses, the fiction stars are having a field day!
In the Instagram credits, Eric Braden (who faced off against Eva Longoria) appears first, followed by Melody Thomas Scott, aka Victor, and Nick, of course. Then comes Brighton James (Devon, who is the only one who continues to kiss his companion Elena), Jess Walton (Jill), Joshua Morrow (Nick), Christel Khalil (Lily, whose translator we trusted), Peter Bergman (Jack). ) and finally Amelia Heinle (Victoria). Other versions of The Young and the Restless along with the rest of the iconic faces will follow the launch of future episodes in the US.
Episodes of the event in connection with the 50th anniversary
Devotees of the proposed diary across the Atlantic on CBS have commented extensively on the video seen above. At least some have leveled a small criticism: Internet users do feel that the font chosen to display the names of the actors is somewhat dated… Will they be heard?
In the Les Feux de l’amour segments commemorating the series’ 50th anniversary (which we won’t see on TF1 in France until 2026…), the residents of Genoa celebrate their city’s 200th anniversary. Nick is going to throw a great gala that will bring everyone together…even former characters will return, as will Nina (Tricia Cast, who spoke with AlloCiné). There will be joy, drama and surprises. Unfortunately, Doug Davidson (Paul) will not be the only one taking part in the event… Happy birthday!
