Ahead of the scheduled departure of Lionel Astier aka Angelo next Tuesday, fans of Alex Hugo will have to say goodbye to another iconic figure of police fiction from France 3 tonight.
The series, directed by Samuel Le Behan, indeed returns this Tuesday, March 28 at 9.10pm with a new episode called “The Untamed”, in which Alex finds himself facing a modern-day Robin Hood, willing to do anything to help those most in need. Even if it means breaking the law and putting their lives in danger.
This new investigation into ecology and pollution, which thus marks the return of Unpublished to France 3, also marks the departure of actress Marilyn Canto, who lends her qualities to Commissioner Christine Dorval from the first season of Alex Hugo.
“He will have to choose between morality and the law. Between listening to his heart and doing his duty”confides in an interview with Télé 7 Jours magazine Marilyne Canto about the last episode of her character. “This case of conscience upsets him to the point where he is considering leaving the police force.”.

A way for the screenwriters to offer Christine Dorval a way out is to honor Marilyn Canto’s decision to leave Alex Hugo to pursue other projects.
“This is not the final departure, but at the stopping points”– the actor explained to our colleagues. “There is talk of my reappearance. I remain very attached to the series, but the shooting takes a long time and I wanted to move on to other projects”.
Pending a possible return to Alex Hugo, with the door clearly open to a random appearance in the future, Marilyn Canto has no shortage of projects after she recently starred in the series Follow , which is set for 13th Street.
And on the big screen, we can soon find her in Frédéric Mermud’s La Voie royale, as well as in Flo, the Florence Artaud biopic, which will be released in cinemas on November 29, in which she will play the mother. The famous navigator, who in turn was portrayed by Stéphane Caillard (Life Before Them, Marseille).
