The ‘True Love(s)’ phenomenon gets its first theatrical date


Bestselling author Taylor Jenkins Reid’s adaptation hits theaters May 18.

Taylor Jenkins Reid is one of today’s leading authors and her books have had hit after hit. As a result, many of her stories have been adapted and True Love(s) is one of them.




Starring Phillipa Soo (“Hamilton”), Simu Liu (“Shang-Chi”) and Luke Bracey (“The Last Man”), the film follows an emotional and unexpected love triangle: a woman must choose between the husband she thought was dead and the man who made her feel alive again after the trauma.



In the story, Emma returns to Massachusetts in an attempt to rebuild her life after her husband Jesse is missing in a helicopter crash. Years after the event, Emma is reunited with her old best friend Sam, who has always been secretly in love with her and they become inseparable from her. Newly engaged, it seems Emma’s second chance at happiness has finally arrived. Until an unexpected phone call reveals that Jesse is alive.
