With an eye on his Copa Sudamericana debut 2023, Santos continues to maintain his training routine. This Wednesday, coach Odair Hellmann led the physical and technical activities at coach Rei Pelé.
The club’s medical department is running out of time to try and recover the injured athletes. At present, there are six athletes out of action.
Defender Alex Nascimento and forwards Lucas Braga and Ângelo are in physical transition. Defender Joaquim and forward Mendoza, in turn, are in transition accompanied by physiotherapy, that is, in a more initial phase.
Lastly, striker Soteldo is carrying out physical preparation work, but with activity limitations due to post-operative recovery.
The defender Maicon and the midfielder Carabajal have already trained on the pitch with the rest of the group. Thus, the trend is that both will be available to Odair Hellmann in the South American’s debut.
Eliminated in the first phase of the Paulista Championship, Santos return to the field next week, when the continental tournament begins.
Peixe’s first challenge will be Blooming, from Bolivia, next Tuesday, at 21:30 (Brasilia time), at the Ramón Aguilera Costas Stadium, in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.
Alvinegro Praiano resumes training this Thursday, at CT Rei Pelé.
