With a long history of “fan abandonment,” the singer has earned a reputation for being “unprofessional” due to his many cancellations — and we’re not talking serious cases like when he suffered an ankle injury or when he contracted the COVID-19!

DO NOT COME HERE
In 2013, Drake canceled a performance at the Fargo Center in Philadelphia, citing “technical problems” involving the assembly of a suspended walkway. However, the big problem was that the announcement was made when fans were already there. Leaving the audience in riot, the rapper was called “unprofessional” at the time by many people.
MEET AND GREET? NEITHER!
No meet and greet for Drake fans! In 2016, during the Summer Sixteen tour, the singer decided to cancel the meeting with fans, citing “logistical problems”. On the occasion, to “reward” the disappointment, the fans who bought the ticket were able to choose the option of keeping it and winning merchandise from the musician, which included a foam rubber glove, a pen, a car air freshener, a bag , pins and patches , plus a disposable camera and a frame of the rapper.
BROKEN SUSHI
According to NME, in 2017, the singer allegedly ate “rotten sushi”, causing “severe food poisoning” which led him to cancel a show on his Boy Meets World tour. This was the third cancellation in three months, leading angry fans to protest the rapper.
TORONTO FILM FESTIVAL
In 2018, Drake was confirmed to open the Toronto International Film Festival but ended up canceling at the last minute. The justification this time was presented by a video, in which he spoke of conflicts on the agenda – although he did not have another presentation scheduled for that evening lol – as reported by Narcity. A few weeks later, he also announced three more U.S. cancellations, citing (again) “technical issues.”
LOLLAPALOZA BRAZIL
Concluding the list with the most recent cancellation that took many people by surprise. Drake would headline Lollapalooza Brasil 2023 and perform on Sunday night (26). However, on the morning of the presentation, the festival announced the cancellation of the artist – who has been replaced by Skrillex – due to “unforeseen circumstances” involving sound and production. However, a few hours before the announcement, the rapper was seen in a nightclub, accompanied by 50 Cent.
