In a note released this morning, the secretariat reported that the hydrological risk in the Baixada Fluminense is very high, with a flood warning in the municipalities of São João de Meriti, Duque de Caxias, Nova Iguaçu, Mesquita and Nilópolis.
Furthermore, the geological risk in the region is high, with the possibility of landslides in the municipalities of Duque de Caxias, São João de Meriti, Mesquita, Nilópolis, Belford Roxo and Nova Iguaçu.
In the capital Rio de Janeiro, sirens went off in 50 communities due to landslide risk.
