Singer Aline Wirley has become the target of racist attacks after she won the ‘BBB 23’ Leader’s Challenge on Friday afternoon (April 1). In addition to experiencing attacks from whites, she has been cursed with racially heavy pejorative terms by profiles of people who identify as black.
The sister’s official profile manifested itself in repudiation. “It is unacceptable how Aline was mentioned in some comments. Aline is a cultured, respectful woman who is playing as much as anyone else, without using violent communication or an unethical attitude that deserves any kind of retaliation from the outside” , says the text of the team
“We will not tolerate any kind of harassment, bias or disrespectful behavior whatsoever. We at the Aline team are alert to such behavior and will call upon the legal department if necessary to take appropriate action,” the statement continues. “Nothing Aline has done at home justifies so much oppression, hatred and intolerant attitudes that affect her in a violent and criminal way.”
The text concludes by stating: “Aline deserves respect”. And the sentence went viral late Saturday afternoon (1/4), pushed by fans of the fourth Desert.
The attacks are motivated by another fan of the reality show. This is a side effect of the emphasis given to the racial aspect of the edition, entitled to a speech by Fred Nicácio on making a Big Preto Brasil and eliminating all whites from the program. Added to this is the decision of the producers not to give importance to the issue of male chauvinism, which is also evident among those confined against their sister Larissa Santos. Instead, they posted on-screen tweets calling Larissa boring for complaining about the situation.
The machismo of brothers and even sisters went through the entire edition without receiving any mention from the presenter Tadeu Schmidt, unlike other topics raised in the program. There was not even material to talk about the beautiful sisterhood example of the four defectors, who allied themselves against internal and external rivals.
Because Aline was the only black woman in the group of women and was not with the other black people in the program, in the Fundo do Mar room, she began to be cursed for supposedly serving as a “servant in the big house”, “maid “, “little slave” and worse things, which cannot be reproduced. Leading this chorus are, oddly enough, black men and women who are supposedly aligned with Fred Nicácio’s racial agenda. And white people take the opportunity to exercise their racism with their encouragement.
Mother of a family and singer with an established career, the leader Aline deserves respect, like all the women offended in this “BBB 23” by the silence of the production.
Above all, it is his right to choose how he conducts his life, his friendships and his actions as long as he does not contract anyone in a disrespectful, biased or unethical way. And this is what we have seen in his conduct at home.
