The famous Nintendo plumber seems to meet the expectations of the fans.

we are almost here ‘Super Mario Bros: The Movie’, the tape based on one of the most famous characters in video game history. Because, as everyone intuited, if in 2020 we had ‘Sonic the Movie’ and in 2022 we were able to witness the return of the blue hedgehog in ‘Sonic 2: The Movie’, we were not going to run out without seeing a long Mario and his brother Luiginintendo icons.

Enthusiastic fans of the famous plumbers are counting the days until the premiere of the film directed by the duo formed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, and which has in its original version with the voices of Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black and Seth Rogenamong others.

Let’s remember that the starting point shows us how Mario and Luigi, Brooklyn plumbers, are transported by a mysterious pipe to the hidden and magical world of the Mushroom Kingdom, in which Princess Peach is a prisoner of the evil King Bowser.

The first reactions are already beginning to arrive from the US.and they seem to confirm the good feelings that the successive trailers and images have left us. let’s see what they say those lucky enough to have already seen the film:

“The Super Mario Bros. Movie it’s an exciting and absolutely delicious rideso cheerful as magical. Is a movie for Mario fans in the first place and, despite a somewhat superficial narrative, it is amazing. Tears almost came to my eyes when I saw Mario so wonderfully done“.

“The movie #SuperMarioBros It’s very funny. I was grinning from ear to ear the whole time. They handled the narration and easter eggs of the game very welland Brian Tyler’s music is amazing. It is essential to see it in the cinema. A great movie for all ages.”

“The movie #SuperMarioBros it is a very fun trip, full of references and easter eggs. Unfortunately though there are a LOT of interesting “stuff”, the narrative is sparse and formulaic. Also, Mario and Luigi don’t get enough screen time together. The fans will have a good time.”

And this reviewer adds: “For the record… I really liked the voice cast. Chris Pratt does a VERY good job as Mario. Why doesn’t he speak with the iconic voice? Don’t worry, it’s explained from the beginning. It doesn’t take much to get used to the new voice.”

“I’ve seen #SuperMarioBrosMovie three times now and I can say that it is exactly what you would expect in the best possible way. There’s a lot of fanservice/easter eggs in the movie for all those audiences that have ever loved Mario.”

Are we, as everything seems to indicate, facing one of the best video game adaptations in film history? We will have the answer April 5.
