Hugh Grant revealed during The Late Late Show with James Corden which film production he regrets having done in his 40-year career
Known for his roles in A Place Called Nothing Hill(1999) and Bridget Jones Diary (2001), Hugh Grant has a respectable film career, but no one is immune to regretting a job.
The actor revealed in The Late Late Show with James Corden that you regret having done The Lady and the Robber (1988). Released in 1988, the adaptation of the eponymous novel by Barbara Cartland is a whimsical tale from England about an aristocratic thief who falls in love with the woman he is sworn to defend.
During the “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts” segment, grant explained that his response is motivated by his own performance, which negatively resembles an animated character, in addition to the low budget to produce the feature film. In his words:
I was a road man. I’m supposed to be sexy… Low budget, bad wig, bad hat. I looked like the Slender Delegate [do desenho animado Terrytoons de 1959]. When I get tense, my voice goes up two octaves… It’s bad.”
