Actor Jonathan Majors, who was arrested for domestic violence on March 26 and placed in police custody, denies the facts. But his capture cost the US military $1.8 million.
The Creed III and Ant-Man: Quantumania actor was actually supposed to be the face of a US military ad campaign, but the organization decided to pull the ad due to the allegations. The group would lose about $1.8 million.
The Army wanted Jonathan Majors to be the face of its “Be All You Can Be” recruitment campaign, and by the time the actor was arrested, two ads had already been released.
In a statement, the spokesman of the army explained that the initiative will not be cancelled. However, the organization has decided to suspend the broadcast of material featuring Jonathan Majors pending an investigation into the alleged attack.
Discovered by the series Lovecraft Country, The Seven of Chicago and Da 5 Bloods, Jonathan Majors quickly became one of the new talents of Hollywood. He currently stars in Creed III, Ant-Man: Quantumania and the war film Devotion, available on Prime Video. He plays a US Navy fighter pilot during the Korean War.
