Super Mario, the famous mustachioed plumber created by Nintendo, has finally left gaming consoles for the big screen!

This feature film, the result of a collaboration between the Kyoto firm and Illumination (Moi, The Ugly and Bad), is the best video game adaptation ever made to film?

With a viewer rating of 3.9 out of 5 stars, Super Mario Bros is far ahead of existing video games such as Street Fighter, Alone in the Dark, Resident Evil saga by Paul WS Anderson, Max Payne or Hitman. As for the terrible Super Mario Bros. from 1993, it shows a stratospheric score… 1.4 out of 5!

So far, Super Mario Bros. is the best video game adaptation in theaters according to AlloCiné viewers. Wracraft, the beginning is ranked 2nd 3.6 out of 5.

Then we meet the animated film Resident Evil Damnation with a score of 3.4 out of 5. However, this work was only released directly to video in France. So the 3rd step of the podium goes to Uncharted and its 3.3 out of 5 stars.

To recall, Super Mario Bros follows Mario and his brother Luigi, both plumbers. When they attempt to repair an underground pipe, they find themselves plunged into a new fairytale world through a mysterious pipe. But when the two brothers are separated, Mario embarks on a wild adventure to find Luigi.

In his quest, he can rely on the Mushroom Toad, a resident of the Mushroom Kingdom, and the wise advice, in terms of fighting techniques, of Princess Peach, the decisive warrior at the head of the kingdom. This is how Mario manages to mobilize his forces to complete the mission.
