“Good morning, good afternoon, good afternoon,” was how Diego Luna greeted the audience at Star Wars Celebration in London. The Mexican actor, the cast of Andor and showrunner Toni Gilroy arrived to preview what’s to come in the second season of the acclaimed Disney+ series.
Series creator Gilroy said the team is working full speed to complete the second season, which is scheduled to premiere in August 2024. Filming began in November and is expected to wrap up in August.
But that is not all! The second season will consist of 12 episodes that will take place over a period of four years just before the events of ‘Rogue One’. Gilroy commented, “If you know the ending, it really helps. We know exactly where we’re going. You know what you have to deliver emotionally and what the story has to do.”
The second season of “Andor” promises to be an exciting continuation of Cassian Andor and his team’s fight against the Empire! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
