Another DC Universe rumor has just been denied by James Gunn. This time, it is rumored that a Batman spin-off, centered around the character of Poison Ivy and set in the universe created by Matt Reeves…
As ComingSoon reports, a fan on Twitter asked the CEO of DC Studios if such a project was ever going to happen. James Gunn then silenced the rumor by simply replying “No”.
No.

The rumor may have come from there that the series will take place on Penguin. Penguin, as his nickname suggests, will focus on the villain who appeared in the 2022 film, played by Colin Farrell, who will also reprise his role.
The Batman: Part II, meanwhile, will be released on October 1, 2025. The sequel will also be directed and co-written by Matt Reeves and will again see Robert Pattinson and Andy Serkis return as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Alfred Pennyworth.
This sequel will remain a DC Elseworlds film, meaning a separate film from the main DC Universe continuity. Filming on the sequel will begin in November this year at Leavesden Studios in the UK.
