Conjuring: The new series will continue the story of the films

the universe of evocation it is expanding. The horror film franchise is getting a drama series being developed by Peter Safran in partnership with Warner Bros. Television. The series is in development for Max Streaming, a newly announced platform that brings together HBO Max and Discovery+ into one service.

According to the information released, the series will “continue the story established in the films” and, James Wan, director of the first two films in the series, evocation twois in talks with executive producers.

The series will be produced by Atomic Monster Productions and The Safran Company, Wan and Safran’s production companies, in association with WBTV, with whom The Safran Company has an overall deal.

The horror franchise currently has seven films in its universe, which are, in order: evocation, Annabella, evocation 2, Annabelle 2: The Creation of Evil, the nun, Annabelle 3: Homecoming AND The Conjuring 3: The Devil’s Order. Together, they have grossed over $2 billion at the worldwide box office.

The next installment of the franchise will be The nun 2, which hits theaters on September 8. With the announcement of the series, fans of the franchise can’t wait to see how the story will expand beyond theaters and continue to frighten audiences at home.

There is still no information on the cast, plot or title of the production. Additionally, a release window for the streaming series has not been revealed.
