School of life on France 2: this episode that upset Julie de Bona

Now hosted by Julie de Bona, the new Season 2 of The School of Life, which began last Wednesday in front of an average of 2.66 million viewers, continues tonight from 9:10pm on France 2 with two episodes. Missa, who upsets Alexandra Delage’s first class like never before, meets with a tragedy that will shake many of the characters.

However, when Julie de Bona is asked which episode she preferred among the six parts of this second season, she doesn’t stick with episode 4, amid mourning. But really episode 2, which aired last week on France 2, focused on the character of Naim (Nolan Masraf), a brilliant student at odds with his host family.

“When reading the script, there’s a character that tripped me up: it’s Naim, played by Nolan Masraf.”Julie de Bona explained. “The child was divinely well chosen, I watched him very well. He has a depth of play in his eyes and is humanly insane.”.

“I was really interested in the story of this episode”It continues to feature Alexandra Delage, the new head teacher at the School of Life, who tries to listen to her students while secretly battling the disease. “I had seen the movieAkim Isker, nobody’s sonwith Isabel Carrey, it was amazing. On foster families, on children who are nobody’s children. This is a very powerful social issue that worries me. And I think we treat him well in the series as well.”.

“The end of the episode is very powerful, we understand that these children are treated like this and that the age of majority is not good news for them. But we still have a way to help them. Teachers can help them, that they are not alone. (…) Alexandra , the teacher I play has a huge role to play in being vigilant at this time, because if not, who can these kids hope for? It’s a story that touched my heart. , Really.”.

This wonderful episode, which really owes a lot to the amazing performance of young Nolan Masraf, shows, like most of the stories told in the France 2 series, how a dedicated and attentive teacher can help a difficult student to open up and talk about their problems.

“Withdrawal process is difficult for teenagers”Producer Stephanie Chartre confides in this matter. “We need to be able to reach out to them and they need to accept that open hand. We need to help them open up and put their suffering into words.”.
