After Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon, a new series has been officially ordered

A few days ago we learned that the prequel dedicated to Aegon I Targaryen entered the development side of the HBO Max platform (now called Max). And the new spin-off from Game of Thrones is indeed commissioned, but it is finally not a series dedicated to the conquest of the Seven Kingdoms!

Max Platform has indeed signed a new series dedicated to the adventures of Dunk and Egg. This duet, consisting of a knight and his master, was a collection of three stories published under the title Chroniques du Chevalier errant: Le Chevalier errant, L’Épée liege, and L’Oeuf de Dragon.

Dunk is an unranked knight who we discover shortly after the death of his master, Sir Arlan. During his adventure, he meets an egg, which he chooses as his owner. The young lad is so named because of his bald head… but fans of the novel know that the nickname has another explanation.

Chronologically speaking, Chronicles of a Knight Errant takes place 90 years before the reign of King Robert Baratheon. Therefore, this new prequel will be halfway between the plot of House of Dragon and Game of Thrones! However, we don’t know if it will see the light of day for multiple seasons or if this new prequel will take the form of a mini-series.

Remember that the first season of House of the Dragon and the complete Game of Thrones (season 8) are now available on Amazon Prime Video with a Warner Pass subscription.
