Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon) is not the only ‘Breaking Bad’ actor to appear in ‘The Mandalorian’

‘The Mandalorian’ season 3 episode 7 has finally brought back Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito)the main villain of the Disney+ series who escaped (we learned this a few episodes ago) before being tried by the New Republic.

Esposito’s extensive career began in the 1980s with roles in films such as ‘The Usual Suspects’ or the Spike Lee classic ‘Do the Right Thing’, but global recognition by the general public came many years later for the appearing in ‘Breaking Bad’, one of the best series in history, as the drug dealer and owner of ‘Los Pollos Hermanos’ Gus Fring.

Chapter 3×07 has meant his return to the Star Wars series, but what many have not noticed is that, in addition, meets another of the ‘Breaking Bad’ actors: Charles Baker, who played one of Jesse Pinkman’s (Aaron Paul) best friends, Skinny Petein the acclaimed AMC series.

In this new episode of ‘The Mandalorian’, Bo-Katan Kryze, Din Djarin and the rest of the Mandalorians land on Mandalore to reclaim the planet. There, they meet a group of natives who have survived by wandering the planet’s surface, and one of the characters is played by Baker. So yes, Skinny Pete is Mandalorian.

It’s unclear what role Baker will play in ‘The Mandalorian’ season 4, or if his cameo will be limited to the few scenes shown in this week’s episode. Regardless of this, the link between Baker and Esposito is more than interesting, since Skinny Pete was an ally of Jesse Pinkman in ‘Breaking Bad’ in his fight against Gus Fring Gustavo Fring and now, again, Baker’s Mandalorian collaborates on the opposite front to Esposito’s villainous Moff Gideon.

Charles Baker also recently appeared in the series starring Jeremy Renner ‘Major of Kingstown’, available on the new SkyShowtime platform, while Giancarlo Esposito has just starred in the Netflix series ‘Kaleicoscope’ and among his upcoming projects are the Francis Ford Coppola film ‘Megalopolis’ and ‘MaXXXine’, the closing of the Ti West and Mia Goth trilogy after ‘X’ and ‘Pearl’.
