It was the most popular Spanish series of the early 2000s: Un Dos Tres (Un Paso Adelante, for those who did Spanish LV2) followed the adventures of Lola, Pedro, Roberto, Silvia and Ingrid, performing arts students, for six seasons. Carmen Aranci School.
They dreamed of being singers, dancers, actors, musicians and allowed their ambitions to become these kinds of Famous Iberian. Twenty years later, the characters of the series are back in a sequel called Un Dos Tres: New Generation.
Un Dos Tres returns with an old and a new generation
The three main cast members, Mónica Cruz (Sylvia), Beatriz Luengo (Lola) and Miguel Ángel Muñoz (Roberto) return to pass the torch to the new apprentice artists at Carmen Aranci’s former school, now run by Silvia.
And some French fans had the chance to find them at the sixth edition of the CANNESERIES festival, where the first episode of Un Dos Tres: The New Generation was presented and broadcast in preview. The screening was followed by a meet and greet with past and present fans at the Espace Miramar in Cannes.
It must be said that the success of Un Dos Tres in France was phenomenal and that a whole generation grew up and learned with the stars of the Spanish series, as Miguel Ángel Muñoz, Roberto’s translator, on our microphone:
“I first heard about the success of the series when we came to France for promotion. I remember we made a trip to Paris. We took photos on the Elysée and the Louvre. Everyone stopped us, they asked us for a lot of photos.
French people told us that they learned Spanish with our series because we could either watch it in Spanish or dubbed in French. We learned about it at this very moment, because twenty years ago there were no social networks.
On the other hand, Monica Cruz, Sylvia’s translator, always receives a lot of messages from fans from France: “French fans have been writing to me all these years and I think 85% of my comments on Instagram come from French fans. And it’s a country that has always treated us very well and we owe a lot to.”

Finally, Béatriz Luengo, who played the role of Lola, told us that one of the best moments of her life was at a concert on the Champs-Élysées in France:
“Once I had the opportunity to sing there and there were thousands of people. I put it on the networks because it was the most important moment of my life, I went on stage and people screamed, I couldn’t believe it. I could hardly sing.
It was an incredible moment. And as Miguel Ángel said, there was no social media, so we found success in the streets and felt such an impact, it was very exciting. “

From May 1, the first episode of Un Dos Tres: The New Generation will be available for free on 6play. The second episode will be available on May 8 on 6play max, the paid streaming and replay platform for M6 Group channels.
The remainder of the series will be available every Monday on D+1 on Spanish broadcaster 6play max. For more patients, know that Un Dos Tres: The New Generation will be broadcast later on one of the channels of the M6 group.
And finally, for nostalgia, know that the first season of Un Dos Tres is free on 6play Téva. Other seasons are available on 6play max.
