While HPI season 3 and new releases such as Les Randonneuses and Les Bracelets rouges: The New Generation are expected to launch in the coming weeks and months, TF1 is full of projects for the first half of 2023.
Indeed, after Super Dad, with Michael Yeun and Jennifer, and the thriller Brocéliande, led by Nolven Leroy, TF1 will start filming tomorrow a brand new series called La Tribu, the details of which we can now exclusively reveal to you.
Directed by Nadège Loiseau (Episodes 1 to 3) and Patrick Cassir (Episodes 4 to 6), La Tribu, adapted from the Swedish format Bonus Family, promises to be an action-packed family drama that seems part family weekend. Belongs to Sunday. And which should also appeal to fans of Clem, Don’t Do This, Don’t Do That, or The Big Family, which was TF1’s heyday for twenty-six years until 2018.
And it’s two faces that the public has greatly appreciated who will play the main roles in this series in six 52-minute episodes, as the central couple will be played by Alix Poisson (Disappeared, Quadras, Games of Influence), who continues to collaborate. One for Les Randoneuses and Colossus with Feet of Clay and Jonathan Zakai (Infidel, Office of Legends, Man of Our Lives).
Written by Manon Dilis, Anaïs Carpita, Clémence Dargent, Thierry Godin and Élian Vigneron, La Tribu tells the story of Camille and Martin, a couple in their fifties at the head of a blended family who have just moved in together. Their life is far from a long calm river! Between their children, their sister, their parents, but also their ex, this family forms a true “tribe” with a necessarily unstable balance.
42-year-old Camille, responsible for the green spaces of their small town, is an idealistic fighter who sometimes prefers to embellish the truth in order to believe in her lucky star. His companion, 46-year-old Martin, an organized and visionary French teacher, is always worried about what’s going on.
Will their love survive the wrath of Frank (Camille’s ex), the anger of Alexandra (Martin’s ex) and the demands of the children who manipulate them as they please? Busy everyday life where contradictions reign!
Around Alix Poisson and Jonathan Zaccai, aka Camille and Martin, the audience will find an ensemble cast consisting of Maxens Tual (Platonic, Louis 28), Vanessa David (Workingirls, Infidèle), Clotilde Mollet (Laëtitia), Juliette Plumecocq-MechVort. Fear on the Lake), Kapusin Malar (Sam), Ilan Debrabant (10 Days Without a Mother), Joy Souk, Esteban Azuara Eymard, Tristan Lopin, Clara Jolie, Mohamed Arezki (Candice Renoir, Tomorrow Belongs to Us) and Sophie-Marie LaRouey.
Produced by Mother Production and Federation Entertainment in association with TF1, La Tribu will begin filming this Wednesday, April 19, in Île-de-France for several months.
