There may not be an official way to celebrate the most famous Kryptonian hero, but today marks 85 years since the first issue of Action Comics, featuring the blue-cloaked hero with the flashy outer of the pants, and James Gunn, went on sale. us a little update on Superman: Legacy for the occasion.
When Gunn unveiled his plans for the DC Universe last year, he revealed he was writing a new one Superman script, which features (another) new take on the legendary comic book character. More recently, he confirmed that he would also be taking the reins on this film, titled Superman: Legacyas director. and now before guardians of the galaxy vol. 3 even making it to the big screen, he offered an update on his next film: it’s already in pre-production, with the gears turning on various aspects of the film.
As Gunn’s Tweet says, the costume and production departments are already busy working on what Superman: Legacy it will look like, and if you want a first idea of what it might be, take a look at the 2005 career of Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely superman all stars. Gunn has mentioned this cartoon as an influence on the film by him, and an image of Superman staring at Metropolis in his signature colorful suit has been used in relation to the film since its introduction.
