On Friday, April 14, Amazon Prime Video released Season 1 of Salade Grecque, the sequel to Cédric Klapisch’s film saga, The Spanish Inn, Russian Dolls and Chinese Puzzle. In this new chapter, we now follow the lives of Tom and Mia (Alyocha Schneider and Megan Northam, who answered our questions), the children of Xavier (Romain Duris) and Wendy (Kelly Reilly), the heroes of the film trilogy.
From “The Spanish Inn”…
At the beginning of the fiction, the young people’s maternal grandfather has sadly just died…bequeathing his grandchildren an estate in Athens, where Mia Erasmus is to study. Tom joins her to manage their shared inheritance and thereby fund her startup in New York. But once there, he discovers that Mia has dropped out of school, and her sister’s anti-capitalist activities will seriously complicate the common heritage!
In episode 2 of Salade Grecque, our duo of protagonists take part in an important demonstration that turns into an all-out fight. “I admit I was pleased with the rendering on the screen! Sometimes the environment can give the impression that it is less impressive than what we experienced and there, it is notThe actor was happy. So we were in the big, famous square of Athens. I think it’s rare to “privatize” it… We were about 200 people in the series!“
“It was a mess, there was a bit of improvisation during the fight! Cedric Clappy was meeting that day and wanted us to stay in the juiceMegan Northam explained to us. As a result, the filming was fast-paced and sometimes very violent (laughs). It was impressive.”
