Actor Ewan McGregor will star in a series that is currently in development within Amazon Prime Video, as published exclusively in Variety. At the moment Titled ‘Lodi’, the series is inspired by a true story told in an article written by journalist and writer Andrew Dubbins.
According to the official description, The story follows a car salesman Lou (McGregor), who overnight goes from being a common citizen of a small town to infiltrating the mob., thus working as an informant for the FBI after a mobster offers to buy his dealership in Lodi, California. Over the next three years, Lou becomes fully involved in the running of the crime family, working his way up the ranks as he tries to get the first conviction of an infamous crime boss in Joe Bonnano.

McGregor’s other recent television credits include his Emmy-winning role in ‘Halston,’ available on Netflix, which traces the life of the famous designer. He also starred in season 3 of ‘Fargo’ on FX.
As far as the actor’s recent big screen roles are concerned, there is the upcoming drama ‘You Sing, I Sing Louder’, in which he stars alongside his daughter Clara. He also appeared in Guillermo del Toro’s animated film ‘Pinocchio’ in 2022, lending his voice to Jiminy Cricket in the original version, as well as in the Apple film ‘Raymond & Ray’ alongside Ethan Hawke.
