Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry, protagonists of a new action thriller to the “James Bond vs. Jason Bourne”

Warner Bros. has secured the rights to ‘Maude v Maude’, the new film by Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry that sparked a war between studios this weekend, according to an exclusive report Deadline. Little else is known about the project apart from its leads, but one source has described it as an international action thriller (with locations yet to be announced). in the style of “James Bond vs. Jason Bourne”.

Roseanne Liang (responsible for the undervalued ‘Hidden Passenger’) will direct the film from a script by Scott Mosierproducer of Kevin Smith’s early films ‘Clerks,’ ‘Mallrats,’ ‘Chasing Amy,’ and ‘Dogma.’

Although Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry have a long history in action movies, this will be the first time they will work together. ‘Maude v Maude’ will also be Angelina Jolie’s first film since Marvel’s ‘Eternals’ in 2021while Berry’s last big appearance was in Roland Emmerich’s catastrophic film (by theme and by box office result) ‘Moonfall’.

In addition to ‘Maude v Maude’, it was announced earlier in the year that Angelina Jolie will join Pablo Larraín to star in ‘Maria’, a biopic that will celebrate the last days of Maria Callas, considered one of the best opera singers in history. “I take my responsibility to Maria’s life and legacy very seriously. She will also be the lead in ‘Our Man From Jersey‘ with Mark Wahlberg, an action thriller that is also destined to swell the Netflix movie catalog.
