The polar air in south-central Brazil guarantees a sunny holiday

The cold front causes heavy rains in Bahia and northern Minas Gerais

A cold front is south of Bahia and during this Friday April 21 stimulates the growth of charged clouds over almost all areas of Bahia, over the north of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo.

The strong cold air mass of polar origin that arrived with this cold front still causes low temperatures at dawn and at night in the southern states, in São Paulo, in Mato Grosso do Sul, in south-central Minas Gerais and in Rio in January . Although softened, this cold air is also felt in the Cuiabá region and in the south of Rondônia, in Espírito Santo and in the east of Minas.

Areas of instability cause heavy rains in several locations in the North and Northeast. The Intertropical Convergence Zone is active on the northern coast of Brazil and brings rain clouds to the belt between Amapá and Ceará.
