The record was made by the Princess of Wales last summer. In her image, the Queen is seated alongside her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
“Today would have been HM Queen Elizabeth’s 97th birthday. This photograph – which shows her with some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren – was taken at Balmoral last summer,” the profile recorded.
The photo already had more than 750,000 likes on Instagram by the time this report was published.
Soon, the throne that was Elizabeth will gain a new occupant. The coronation ceremony of the king Charles III74, will take place on 6 May, a Saturday, and the celebrations will continue throughout the weekend until Monday.
