Astrid Waylon: I believe there were several feelings in him at the time: Paul’s unresponsive reaction, which he did not understand, the guilt that he missed, finally acknowledging his feelings, and at the same time guilt. That he did it while Paul was in a relationship with someone else.
Leah is a fundamentally honest person and this situation makes her uncomfortable and prevents her from confronting Paul. He is in complete uncertainty and does not understand everything that is happening and then, slowly, we move on See Ines Carousel behind all of this. I think Leah is torn between regret, guilt and misunderstanding.
Thomas (Titan Laporte), their son, wants to pass a police school exam. Her father, her son, her ex … Leah now works as a family!
Leah needs her tribe. His sights are them. He did not return to work in Montpellier in vain. She has a father, an ex-husband, a child, she is very close to the lieutenants … she needs this relationship with people. Inevitably, it will be an excellent opportunity for Ines to take advantage of this.
Leah is a person fundamentally honest, free and who makes her own decisions. It is almost to the extent that it prioritizes the happiness of others over its own. He does not interfere in Paul because he finds an excuse: he does not have the courage to talk to him, he tells himself that Ines and he should leave her alone … this is what Ines plans, what annoys him and not him. Relationship with Paul.
Meanwhile Paul (Stephan Blancafort) continues to meet Ines (Baia Rehaz) but seems to have not yet decided on his feelings. Will it give their relationship a chance? Especially since Ines wants to request a transfer so they can get a fresh start.
It is difficult for Ines to get used to the situation. Paul and Leah are the only ones who can not see that they still love each other. Inevitably, for those around her, and especially for Ines, who falls madly in love with Paul, he knows that the only way for this couple to exist is to distance themselves. In the middle of Leah, it will always be difficult.
Leah also finds it hard to admit that her father sees another woman …
I rather think he does not support it That his father is not honest with his mother. That’s what bothers him. He wants her to assume because he is in the middle of it all, his mother on one side and he on the other. He finds himself witnessing values that do not suit him and therefore his father’s attitude worries him deeply.
Which investigation made you happy or surprised in these new episodes?
There are two double episodes this season, namely one that takes place in Gendarmerie, which has a thriller aspect that is quite different from what we are accustomed to in tandem; Because we think Paul is very involved in this story. It was very interesting to do so, especially since we have little opportunity, so it was difficult to give credibility to this news; The director, Lionel Chatton, did a really exemplary job.
Two episodes really showed me: Leah’s very strong bet where her daughter Alice (Sarah-Cheyen Santon) is directly involved in the investigation, and the one where, once again, we do not investigate the crime. I have long been asking to investigate something else: it’s not just dead people, we can explore other things! And lo and behold, we are about the disappearance of a child, and it was interesting to me that I was able to deal with anything other than murder, with great urgency to find a child who creates a special climate.
In an interview with Télé Star last year, you said that you were afraid that the series would end up in circles in the relationship between Leah and Paul. How do you feel after filming Season 6?
I did not choose acting for job security. I have always believed in doing what I want to do and doing what I can, with all my heart. When you start to get tired, there is definitely no longer the same desire. And I think that’s a disrespect to our teams and our community.
Now that I know when the stopping moment will be good … I think I know, but it will be done on time. There we are going to continue the 7th season, which we get in June. But I will not wait for boredom, because if I got bored, I know I would not do a good job anymore. I am also 50 years old and aspiring to new roles.
We’ve seen a lot of new detective series lately: HPI, Face à Face, Les Invisibles, Astrid and Raphaëlle, César Wagner … How do you explain the tandem longevity in this competition?
I often talk about tandem magic: lPeople love Paul-Leah duet. And I see this because when I promote my book, I go straight to meeting the tandem community and you can feel the community’s love for this couple. They want to see each other, they do not want anyone to touch them. Sometimes I feel like we are their family! (Laughs)
Then there are some very beautiful pictures, we are in a relatively unusual environment and we also live in an era where marriage is quite short and we tell ourselves that if we get divorced, it can go the way of both Paul and Leah. , Of course represents The form of fantasy In the collective unconscious.
They loved each other, had two children and manage to work together, respect each other and still love each other.
Usually in most series we have a seductive relationship and expect to find out if the characters are going to get together. But there the story has already been played out. And who better to know and understand you than the person with whom we shared our lives for fifteen years, with whom we had two children? There is something magical about it and I think it’s the power of tandem, the fantasy of a successful separation.
If the series ends one day, how will you end the story of Leah and Paul?
You have to give the public what they want to see. This is what I told the authors, Paul and Leah should definitely be back together! At least I see it that way. So there will be no surprises, but the public will still be satisfied. Then we can both die so that they are together until death, we can have an ending where we see them get married and then kill one of the two … there can be many different endings!
Personally, I was happy to see them together again and they parted ways again in the final scene and lo and behold, we went again! But the public should be fully respected and I think we should give what they have been expecting since the series launched in 2005.
From the beginning few believed in ours. o is a true two-story concept, with budget savings, e.g.In addition, we did not receive much support from the press. We seldom get good grades, they are always very strict. But we took the challenge and I think in each position we are very proud of what we have done.
Finally, what are your next projects?
I am writing a mini-series with two authors, a character whose game I want and I have discovered How badly they look at screenwriters. They are very poorly protected, have very little recognition and their ideas are often taken away, it is very difficult! So I’m not going to say anything until we’re convinced of our project and submit it and I can protect that tooth and nail as it deserves it.
And then I write the sequel Bathroom, A work that I created in 2003 and which was a great success. My character, Lulu, celebrated his 30th birthday there and is celebrating his 50th birthday there. It’s a good time to do this: After the success of La salle de bain, everyone told me to do a sequel, but I had nothing more to say about the thirty years of discomfort, I did a round and no. See the meaning of doing an extension just to do an extension. It makes sense today.
J.I started writing three months ago and I told myself that next year we will be in 2023 and there will be exactly twenty years between these two. It was obvious to me and I have a lot to say about going fifty! Things in the background and real reflection on today’s women, after 20 years of marriage to a couple, on women’s liberation, menopause and the feeling of that liberation. At fifty everyone tells me that my life is behind me. Great! We will finally stop my annoyance. (Laughs)
