The former TV Globo narrator also commented on the dismissal of the station where he worked for 35 years

Narrator Cleber Machado recalled two unusual moments he experienced together with commentator Caio Ribeiro on TV Globo. In an interview with PodPahexplained the origin of the live push he made against his colleague.

“We were playing. I was there, [Renato] Marseille and Caio, and at that moment there were only two cameras. Caio was about to start talking, then a picture from the game came. At that time, he had to come out to talk about joining Marseille. but Caio did not leave. Then I pushed it. When I pushed, the boy approached the booth, only I appeared pushing. Then I said, ‘Marseille, does a push like that get you a yellow card?'” the narrator recalled with laughter.

Another episode that made headlines was a ‘head’ during a broadcast of the 2011 Copa Sudamericana. “I don’t remember, I don’t think it was on the air, I think it was leaked… [Caio] he was saying something, and I was like that for him [gesticula].. and he… and I did this [simula uma cabeçada]. But I think it wasn’t in the air, I think the guys…it was an internal betrayal, I think,” she recalled.

Regarding his resignation after 35 years at Globo, the narrator says he was not discouraged and believes the reason for the dismissal was financial. “I left because the guys needed to save up and I had money left. I think that was it, sort of they told me so. I don’t know, maybe they got tired of me, they didn’t want to. I left, Noriega has left, Régis has left, many people have left journalism,” he concluded.
