The directors of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ are back with a new spy thriller.
The directors of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Endgame’, Anthony and Joe Russothey’re back with their new movie, ‘The Invisible Agent (The Gray Man)‘, gathering the writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely and pairing them with a big-name cast.
Netflix just released a set of three official character posters of the film to get excited before the first trailer, out today (Tuesday May 24).
These posters give us a new look at what the impressive protagonists look like in the Russo brothers’ world of spies and espionage. Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, Billy Bob Thornton and Regé-Jean Page are among the cast.
The film follows Gosling’s CIA agent, Coury Gentry, whose code name is Sierra Six. At first he was a man serving time in a federal penitentiary, but later he was selected to be a government-sanctioned assassin under the watchful eye of Donald Fitzroy (Thornton).
However, a twist of the plot later finds himself on the run, hunted by his old CIA co-worker, psychopath Lloyd Hansen (Evans). Fortunately, she has agent Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas) on her side, as she will need all the help she can get to survive and clear his name/get revenge/whatever he needs to do.
The Russos previously teased that fans might be surprised by Chris Evans’ villainous role in the film, describing Hansen as “a really unique character”.
They also shared their plans for the film serves as a starting point for a franchisestating, “This is conceived as a series of movies, and again, potentially, we could follow other characters, but we’re not going to answer all the questions in the movie.
“So you’ll finish the movie and have a complete story, but still have questions about the universe as a whole.“.
