Will Smith said he had a vision in which he lost his career: he left him a life lesson

The controversy has gripped Will Smith since last March. At the Oscars later that month, Chris Rock was slapped in the middle of the ceremony.

His aggression came after the comedian joked about his wife’s baldness, caused by alopecia.

Now, an interview has aired in which “King Richard”‘s interpreter is honest about his fears of losing his career, money and even his family.

Will Smith had a vision in which he lost his career

The actor is one of the guests in the fourth season of “They Need No Introduction”, a Netflix series in which David Letterman interviews celebrities.

At the beginning of the episode, a caption appears explaining that the conversation was recorded before Will Smith hit Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars.

One of the revelations made by Jada Pinkett’s husband was that in the two years of his career break (from 2009 to 2011), he made several trips to Peru, where he tried ayahuasca.

This is a psychoactive drink that many indigenous communities in South America use for religious purposes. It has recently gained popularity for the supposed laxative visions it produces in those who consume it.

According to the Hollywood star, the hallucinogen made him see his deepest fears.

“I sit there and suddenly I start to see how all my money is wasted and my career is going (…) I was trying to grab my money and my career, my whole life was being ruined. “That was my fear,” he said.

However, Will Smith’s vision changed when he heard the voice (as part of the illusion) of Willow’s daughter shouting for his help.

Seeing these things in his mind, the shaman who caused his journey asked him to sit down and remain calm. Gradually, the actor succeeded and:

“I stopped worrying about my money, I just wanted to be with Willow. I stopped worrying about my home, about my career, and I got to the point where I calmed down and the voice is still 100 percent, I keep hearing Willow screaming, my money is still flying, but I’m completely calm even though there is hell in my mind.

Will Smith took a lesson after his illusion with Ayahuaska

The actor described this as “the most hellish psychological experience of my life”. However, he learned a lesson from this:

“Whatever happens in my life, I can deal with it. “I can deal with losing anyone, I can deal with anything that goes wrong in my life, I can deal with anything in my marriage, I can deal with anything that life throws at me.”

What do you think about what he experienced?
