KION together with the LOOKFILM film company announces the start of filming the final episodes of the original series “Sergius against evil spirits”, which will be exclusively available to viewers in the online cinema. The season will be filmed by director Andrey Volgin, known for his work on the Balkan Frontier.

According to the plot, police captain Krakin (Dmitry Kulichkov) fell into the world of evil spirits, and Sergius, Katya and Auntie (Roman Mayakin, Lukerya Ilyashenko and Irina Rozanova) manage to defeat Viy, when it suddenly turns out that one of them himself has become a monster of the highest order. From this moment, the game begins, in which each of the characters will suspect that something was wrong. When trouble touches Katya, Sergius will make an extremely interesting deal with Baba Yaga herself in order to save his beloved partner. This deal will cause disagreement in a couple that can’t start a measured life together anyway. In addition to Baba Yaga, in the final series of heroes and spectators, new characters from the gallery of folklore evil spirits are waiting – Likho One-Eyed, ghouls, ifrit genies and many others.

First of all, the audience will be surprised by the transition in the relationship between Sergiy and Katya to a new level. Both the visual component and editing techniques will change. In addition, the audience will be pleased with our new characters – “evil spirits”. It will be unexpected. Of course, we adhere to the style of the series, but at the same time, the new series will be in a slightly lighter tone. “Sergius against evil spirits” is both a mystical detective story and a comedy. Correctly and evenly distributing and mixing these genres is not an easy task. But on the other hand, it’s a challenge. And we accept it, – says director Andrei Volgin.

The premiere of the franchise “Sergius against evil spirits” took place in 2022 and was liked by both viewers and critics. At the “Pilot” series festival, the project was awarded by a professional jury for “masterful mixing of genres”: detective, mysticism and black humor. The adventures of Sergius, Katya, Krakin and Auntie in the world of mystical characters were also shown on the big screen.
