‘Blade’ has a new screenwriter: Nic Pizzolatto, creator of ‘True Detective’

‘Blade’ has a new screenwriter: Nic Pizzolattocreator of ‘True Detective’has signed to work on the script for the vampire reboot which, by the way, will arrive in 2024, a year after ‘True Detective: Night Country’, the fourth installment of the anthology.

According to ‘The Hollywood Reporter’, ‘Blade’ already has a script written by Michael Starrbury, Emmy nominated. They also report that pizzathe mind behind one of the best series in history (at least its first season), is working during the last weeks from Starrbury’s draft.

Blade was originally created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist Gene Colan in the 1970s. The character made his first appearance in ‘The Tomb of Dracula’ #10. Wesley Snipes played the iconic character in the late ’90s and into the 2000s.
