Only true Chris Evans fans remember this feature film that was released direct to video in France in 2012 when it was filmed in 2004: The Perfect Score.

Seven very different high school students want to make sure they graduate. Everyone has a reason to cheat, but everyone has one goal: to steal well-kept exam answers. From now on, they form a foolproof plan…

Co-produced by MTV, the film attempts to portray on screen rebellious rogue youths desperate to make their first choice on their way to college. The project was entrusted to Brian Robbins, who has already directed the sports films American Boys, Ready to Rumble and Hardball with Keanu Reeves.

In the casting we meet two future stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe meeting for the first time: obviously Chris Evans, then 23, but also Scarlett Johansson, 20.

The film allows the impossible, because the subjects of the American “buck” cannot be stolen. Each year there are several versions (including questions in a different or even completely different order). Obviously, the moral of the story is that by cheating on a test, you don’t know what you’re worth and that it’s better to play it straight and let your skills do the talking.

One scene in particular catches the eye: the one in which Scarlett Johansson plays Matrix – and already a little Black Widow – beating the cops in a scene imagined by her character.

Otherwise, it’s clear that The Perfect Score isn’t completely forgotten, it’s its two headliners who play ably here, but admittedly there’s not much to save an entrenched and rather laborious film at this point. . However, if you want, it’s available on Paramount + and rest assured, you can come without a preview!
