This is a mini-series that arrived on the platform on April 28. Nurse, a Danish production, conquered the world audience in just a few days. Here is a brief synopsis:
Pernille Kurtzman gets a new job as a nurse in a Danish hospital. He quickly befriends the charming and charismatic nurse Christina Eitrup Hansen. However, as the days pass, Pernille begins to realize that Cristina is hiding her game.
In France, he is currently 8th in the top 10, but could climb quickly. It must be said that it has all the ingredients to be a hit: it is taken from a real story – the story of the angel of death’s nurse – it is charming, there is suspense and the main actors (Josephine Park and Fanny Louise Burnt) should not be ashamed of their performance. And above all, The Nurse is a mini-series of 4 episodes, each only 1 hour long, an ideal format for subscribers looking for a program to watch in an evening or two.
The Nurse is currently rated 3.5/5 on AlloCiné, but viewers highlight its effectiveness:
“An excellent Danish thriller based on a horrifying true story. The psychology of the characters is well developed and the actors are good. A mini-series with a charming script that I highly recommend!” (lia)
“Miniseries in 4 episodes, very easy to watch. I find it quite realistic when you know it’s inspired by a true story. The characters are interesting. Worth a watch.”(Mathindia74)
“Not bad…a very short series to watch…” (Dx M.)
This is not the first time that Netflix has offered its subscribers a program based on a killer nurse. The American film Murders Without a Prescription, released in 2022, starring Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne, is also based on the true story of Charles Cullen. The latter was also at the center of the documentary, Death Wearing a Blouse released a week later and still visible on the streaming platform.
