Neymar responds to PSG fans and the club tightens security at the player’s home and at the coach

The Brazilian is one of the main targets of the protests of the Parisian ultras in a negative moment experienced by the team

Neymar was not intimidated by the siege made by the ultras (as fanatical fans are known in Europe) of Paris Saint-Germain at his home. The playmaker, who has been out of action since February due to an injury, responded to the threats of the Parisian team’s fans, who asked for the Brazilian to be removed, with a publication on social media about him.

“Don’t let people put you in their storm, put them in peace,” wrote issue #10 in a history shared on his official Instagram account.

The PSG ultras rallied with the slogan “Paris is for us, forever and for a long time”. Messi was the first target of the insults, which escalated after the Argentine star traveled to Saudi Arabia without board consent. The striker, voted best in the world seven times, has been suspended for two weeks and has already sided with the club which he will leave at the end of the season.

PSG has decided to increase security, especially at the club’s training center and in front of the homes of Neymar, Messi and Verratti, all three of whom are the target of hostile chants. The club repudiated the actions of the ultras against the athletes.

“Paris Saint-Germain condemns in the strongest possible terms the intolerable and offensive acts of a small group of individuals that occurred on Wednesday,” the club said in a statement released on Wednesday.

“Regardless of the discrepancies, nothing can justify such acts. The club fully supports its players, its management and all those affected by these shameful behaviours,” the statement continued.

The insults and intimidation come three days after the 3-1 defeat by Lorient, the Parisian club’s third in their last four home games.
