Three people died in a serious accident recorded on the night of this Monday (8) on the BR 158, in Santa Maria, in the central region of Rio Grande do Sul.
According to the Federal Traffic Police (PRF), there was a head-on collision, at km 326 of the motorway, between a Scania trailer, loaded with logs of wood, and a Citroen C3. The driver and passenger of the truck were unhurt. The three fatal victims, aged 34, 28 and 24, were all in the car.
The runway was partially blocked due to an assessment and removal of the cargo that was scattered on the runway, but traffic has already been cleared. The cause of the accident and the identity of the victims are still unknown.
