“We’re going to stay in the superhero business.”
The Arrowverse will continue, at least on The CW, despite recent cancellations. Although its products, like all DC, usually arrive in Spain through HBO Max, we still cannot guarantee anything in this regard, except that the universe will continue with productions.
Many fans were stunned earlier this month when The CW made a last-minute decision to cancel DC’s “Batwoman” and “Legends of Tomorrow,” in addition to “Naomi.” This massive sacrifice of CW left “The Flash” and “Stargirl” alone as series with a future in the Arrowverse, with “Gotham Knights” joining for the 2022-2023 season.
There has been speculation that The CW may be shelving DC content due to plans to sell the network away from Warner Bros, but CW boss Mark Pedowitz has told press that’s not the case ( via dead line).
For the CW-DC Universe, we have ‘Gotham Knights,’ so we stay in the superhero business, we stay with (producer) Greg Berlanti, who has been the creative brains of the CW DC Universe.
Pedowitz acknowledged that DC’s presence on The CW “isn’t as strong as we were in previous years”.
We plan to remain in this business regardless of the results in the event of a sale or no sale. I think the Warner part realizes the value of having these properties, DC Comics realizes the value of what it does for its marketability in terms of what these franchises are.

‘Legends’ created a whole new life for characters that might not even have existed or been used; They hadn’t seen the light of day. We’ve brought tremendous value to DC and Warner Bros. in terms of making the universe with Greg Berlanti and his team.
However, Pedowitz admitted that the future of the Arrowverse’s flagship series, ‘The Flash,’ is still up in the air beyond the next season.
We have no determination on whether this can be the final season.
The CW has renewed ‘The Flash’ for a ninth season, but has also pushed its release date back to 2023.
