An extensive criminal record was discovered by the carabinieri after a complaint by the victim who works as a nurse in the municipal public health network.
A 55-year-old doctor arrested for harassing a 23-year-old nurse collected 57 passages including murder, burglary, domestic violence, as well as sexual harassment. The case took place at the Olímpio Gonçalves dos Santos (UBS) Basic Health Unit, in Adrianópolis, Metropolitan Region of Curitiba (PR), on Wednesday 10.
After recording the incident, the police discovered the doctor’s extensive criminal record. The healthcare professional was arrested as soon as the victim demonstrated the case through video recorded by UBS security cameras, in which the nurse appears as she walks down the corridor and the doctor grabs her and forcefully kisses her. Her identity has not been revealed.
The town hall of Adrianópolis, in a statement, reported that the doctor is outsourced and that it has asked the responsible company to fire the doctor. Council has also stated that it repudiates the crime and will provide assistance to the victim.
