Kaamelott: Unlikely product to be used by Alexandre Astie for rejuvenation

Despite a ten-year wait between the Camelot series and the first part of Arthur Pendragon’s adventures in cinema, most of the actors have not aged a bit and we find them as we left them at the end of Book V (= season 5). Transmission produced by M6.

On the other hand, during the filming of Book VI, the creator of the series, Alexander Astie, was forced to “cheat” in order to play the role of the future King of Brittany in his early youth.

Indeed, Book VI takes place before Book I, when Arthur lives in Rome and is not yet King of Britain. On the set, 34-year-old Alexandre Astie appears to be a very old man in the role of a very young man engaged in military force with the Romans. That’s when he put an anti-aging miracle recipe on his face: a cream against hemorrhoids!

I had nothing, I did not ask for hemorrhoid eye cream. This is the makeup artist’s staff who says, “Don’t worry, I’ll put hemorrhoid cream under your eyes, it ‘s a little crazy.”

The illusion on the screen is ideal, but the director, author, musician and actor prefers to take the tweezers:

Luckily for him, the cream did not blow and Alexander Astier managed to box the 6th season, which was shot in Cinecittà’s studio in Rome. Fifteen years later, he is patiently preparing Kaamelott – the second part of a four-hour, two-part feature film to be shot in the spring of 2023. With or without anti-aging cream?
