As a local newspaper reporter, Eileen investigates a case of missing indigenous women that is still dead-end, with very few leads and in desperate need of a fresh look. The dark corners she must explore reveal an underworld of the city that could prove dangerous for Eileen as she begins to uncover secrets that many would rather keep buried.
The role of Eileen was supposed to revive Hilary Swank’s career, which had been slipping for several years. She was also nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Role at the 80th Golden Globe Awards last January. The award given to Zendaya’s Euphoria.
