Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said on Wednesday they were chased by paparazzi cars which resulted in “multiple collisions” with traffic. The information was communicated to the press by the couple’s spokesman.
Other vehicles at the scene collided and pedestrians and police were injured. The case occurred on Tuesday evening, 16, when Harry, Meghan and the mother-in-law of the Prince, Doria, Regland, returned from an award ceremony in New York, in the United States.
“This relentless two-hour chase resulted in the latest collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers,” the spokesman told Reuters.
The NYPD had not yet commented on the case until this latest news update. The state of health of both was not disclosed.
