Panic: Actor reveals regret after asking for his own character’s death

interpreter of Cotton Weary in the first three films of Panic, Liev Schreiber revealed how he has a major regret in the franchise: asking for the character’s death in Scream 3 (2000), directed by Wes Craven and starring Neve Campbell (Sidney Prescott).

During an interview with QA, Schreiber talked about other jobs in his career besides Panicas Ray Donovan, X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), isle of dogs (2018), Spotlight: Secrets Revealed (2015) and A Small Light.

As the actor explained, he didn’t have much of a sense of the scope of Panic around the world when he participated in the three films. “At that point in my career, I really didn’t fully understand the value of being in a franchise,” she said. “To be honest, I was like, ‘Let me out of this while I can. Get out while things are going well.'”

I just thought it would be fun to be one of the top iconic deaths. I was working and doing a lot of other things in New York in theater, and I thought, ‘How many times can I play this character?’ Now I realize you can play this character as many times as they want.

“I suggested they kill me. Part of the gimmick of movies is that someone in the first five minutes is killed because you don’t expect them to be killed,” he continued. Liev Schreiber. “What, right now, I’m kicking myself because I wish I was in Scream 5.”
