A “small” Wednesday of releases, with fewer films than usual. While all eyes have been on Cannes since May 17, the opening day of the biggest film festival, few films dare to release during this slower period.
This week, vs She wore a mermaidSailing effortlessly through its 95,282 admissions (and that’s without previews), only two Cannes features come head-to-head with the Disney siren: they are Love and forestsValerie Donzel’s new film, hosted by Virgin Ephyra and Melville Pupa, and Omar MarzkviUnder the leadership of Benoit Magimel – Reda Cat duo.
A disappointing start Knights of the Zodiac. “This is six times lower than Knights of the Zodiac – Legend of the Sanctuary released by Wild Bunch in 2015 (30,000 entries)“, pointed out our colleagues from Boxoffice Pro.
Also note the release of two French films, incl contempt by Godard, passed Cannes Classics.
