The traditional ground floor Virginia Buildingin the center of São Paulo, built in 1951, it was the scene of Fernanda Yamamoto’s fashion show, on the last day of 55th SPFW Edition.
The building will undergo restoration starting this Monday (29), with the designer presenting the latest art performance the 11-story space has received in recent months.

The peeling concrete walls and columns housed Fernanda’s pieces, full of urbanity mixed with refined handwork.

The designer created bespoke suits for friends and partners, 22 women and 8 men, in shades of grey, black and white, illuminated by touches of bright yellow and pink. Everything blended perfectly with the place.

Loose, structured and layered garments, in sheer or heavy fabrics, with delicate or wavy folds and, many, filled with glass beads and applied stones.

The comic book constructions, which are part of Fernanda’s story, have been reinterpreted, both in embroideries and constructed in the form of coats. However, there was no shortage of visible seams, as if they were there to dialogue with the walls of the building, which will now receive a new look.
