The Brazilian from Newcastle was part of the club’s historic standings for the next Champions League
Newcastle midfielder Joelinton has been one of manager Ramon Menezes’s call-ups for the Brazil national team. Unveiled at Sport Recife, the player is one of the strengths of the Magpies in the club’s historic season, which ended this Sunday with the team qualifying for the next edition of the UEFA Champions League.
Joelinton, 26, celebrated his first call-up of his career to defend Amarelinha at the next Fifa Date. The Brazilian team will face Guinea and Senegal on 17 and 20 June.
– There are not many words to describe this moment. It is the realization of a lifelong dream to be able to wear the Brazilian national team shirt. Great pride to represent my country. I’ve always said this was a goal I had and thank God today I’m making it happen. It’s the result of hard work and a great season with Newcastle,” said Joelinton.
