You know that pretty intergalactic story that happened earlier this year? According to the Deadline websiteThe family of the late Peter Mayhew, who played Chewbacca in the Star Wars saga, narrowly discovered the iconic objects belonging to the actor, objects that were going to be sold at auction.
When Peter Mayem, sick, had to leave home, he didn’t take the Star Wars objects stored in the attic with him. There was, in particular, one and the same, the original script of the franchise created by George Lucas… Time passed, things were forgotten, until Miami’s wife was surprised to learn at the beginning of the year that they were going to be auctioned!
But there was no bad intention behind all this. Angus Ashworth, the organizer of the sale, told the BBC: “I was approached by a lovely elderly couple who were cleaning out their attic. They found a bag full of Star Wars stuff, I thought it might be of interest to fans.”
When we moved out of this house, Peter’s mobility challenges made it impossible to get into the attic to keep these memories alive. It saddens me to see our items sold at auction like this @angusashworth and @RyedaleAuction1. ~Angie Mayhew https://t.co/9dql4g22Wa

When Ashworth discovered the angry tweet from Peter Mayhew’s wife, he told the sellers about the situation. The story ends well: In the end there will be no auction, objects of strong sentimental value have been discovered by the Peter Mayhew Foundation.
